Direct Line Travel Insurance offers advice to T5 travellers

Direct Line is running a service to give advice to travellers and holidaymakers who have suffered due to the delays at Heathrow's terminal five over the last few days.

The insurance company is prioritising responding to claims from its customers who have had their luggage lost or delayed because of the disruption at the airport.

Chris Price, Direct Line's head of travel insurance, said: "The problems at Terminal Five have highlighted the importance of purchasing travel insurance, as arriving at a destination without your baggage can be a huge inconvenience and be costly to replace."

Mr Price also added that travellers who have purchased travel insurance can leave on their holidays with "that extra peace of mind".

Direct Line for Business is now providing liability insurance for proprietors of offices and surgeries in the UK.

Products for home businesses, pubs, restaurants and small hotels will also be launched this spring.
